One can seek to use moral suasion and come to an agreement with the partner. Failing that one can approach the courts in Barbados to award custody and then have the court documents served to the overseas partner by means of a Canadian Process Server. This can be done in conjunction with a Canadian lawyer. Alternatively, one can retain the services of a Canadian attorney-at-law and approach the Canadian courts for a ruling, using the ruling of the Barbados court to support one’s case.
